Şile is a resort, as if created for a quiet family holiday. No one rushes anywhere. There are the same boutiques and shops as in central Istanbul, but no fuss. Citizens of İstanbul come to this town to spend the weekend in peace and calmness.

The town of Şile is known from 700 B.C. In translation from Turkish şile means «marjoram». The commander Xenophon wrote about the settlement. In numerous caves near Şile, the first Christians hid from the Romans who persecuted them. In the 1850s, the largest lighthouse was built in Turkey. Today, it is the second largest operating lighthouse in the world.

In the 20th century, Şile became part of the Istanbul province. On the way to the beach, we will cross the Bosphorus Bridge, and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the views of the Strait dividing the two parts of the world: Europe and Asia.

The Şile coastline is an endless series of rocks behind which small capes are hidden. The beaches are sandy. From May to September, sea water heats above 20°C.

We will spend time on the beach of the hotel ŞILE RESORT. In the Istanbul guidebook the beach in ŞILE RESORT is considered one of the best rest places in the city. It was awarded the Blue Flag for water purity and safety.

You are provided with comfortable sun loungers, towels as well as umbrellas that protect against the burning sun. There are rescue workers on the beach, so there is no need to worry about safety.

If you get tired of swimming in the sea, or the wind rises strong waves, we offer to visit an outdoor swimming pool with a depth of 2.4 m, filled with seawater.

You can combine the rest on the beach with pleasant procedures. The hotel has a sauna and spa center.

In Şile tourists arrive not only for beach holidays, but also to enjoy delicious food. The village is famous for fresh fish, which can be tasted directly on the coast, local pancakes and other dishes of Turkish cuisine. Lunch is included in the price of the tour. The culinary experience will be no less pleasant than the beach rest.
