Excursions from Fethiye

Fethiye is called the Area of Paradise Islands. The resort is ideal for sea-travellers. There are 12 islands in the local harbour that can be visited by boat or yacht. One of the most famous is the Knight’s Island located directly opposite Fethiye. Here at different times there were the outposts of the Knights of Rhodes and the pirates. From Fethiye you can also order a tour to the Greek island of Rhodes. Lovers of wildlife will not be indifferent to a trip to the Butterfly Valley - a picturesque nature reserve at the foot of Mount Baba. There are 105 species of butterflies in the Valley, belonging to 15 species. You can sunbathe on the beach or wander in picturesque canyons. Near the resort there is the ghost town of Kayakoy, a Greek settlement abandoned in the early 20th century. Saklikent Gorge with a turbulent river, waterfalls and 16 caves is situated 50 km from Fethiye. Tourists who prefer active rest can go on sea fishing, diving in the Aegean Sea, floating along the turbulent Dalaman River, riding an ATV or paragliding.
