Paragliding in Fethiye from Kusadasi

Olüdeniz is a historic place near Fethiye. Here, for the first time in Turkish history, a paraglider flight took place. The village is a magnet for paragliding lovers. It is included in the lists of the best paragliding places in the world.

You’ll be picked up from the hotel in the morning and travel to Fethiye by bus. On the way you will be able to appreciate the beauty of the scenery which you will admire from the height a little bit later.

You will be taken to one of the paragliding centres. By the way, there are more than three dozen of them in Olüdeniz. Experienced pilots will give a briefing and provide you the equipment for a safe flight. Please note that to fly you need comfortable shoes that will sit tightly on your foot.

Once you are acquainted with the instructor who will accompany you on your flight and be responsible for your safety, you will board the bus that will take you to the top of Mount Babadag. It is 1.9 thousand metres above sea level. The mountain is five kilometres away from the seashore.

On Babadag there are several launch sites, equipped with places where you can admire views of the terrain and take panoramic photos. For safety reasons, it is not permitted to take photographic equipment or smartphones on flight. Take pictures on the mountain. In the flight, the instructor will have special equipment for taking photos and videos.

The pilot will check your equipment, attach you to the paraglider, and after a few steps, you’ll be off the ground. You’ll see how different the world looks from the height of a bird’s flight. You’ll find out how quiet it is upstairs, when you can hear your thoughts under the sound of the wind in the paraglider slings.

You’re going to fly over the Blue Lagoon, you’re going to see the incredible beauty of Olüdeniz Bay, the place where the waters of the Mediterranean and the Aegean meet. In clear weather, the Greek island of Rhodes and the ruins of ancient cities can be seen during the flight.

The flight will last about 25 minutes, after that you will land on the coast  feelıng happiness, freedom and serenity, which can only be achieved by flying in the sky.
